An elderly Mongolian woman worships an Obo in Tengger Desert in Inner Mongolia, 2015. Obo, as a marking of God, has been worshiped and respected by Mongolians for thousands of years. Traditionally, Obo are built by stones, with poles sticking out on the top. Cattle hair and scripture flags are tied to the poles.
