Xinjiang, officially the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is an autonomous region of China, located in the far northwest of the country. Being the largest province-level division of China, it has a total of 12,757 schools for basic education, with 5.89 million students and 484,000 faculty members by the end of 2019.
