Nyima Wangdu, headmaster of the School for the Blind in Tibet. The 27-year-old blind Nyima is a former student of blind German social worker Sabriye Tenberken who founded the school in 1998. Before that, blind and visually impaired children had not been able to attend school in Tibet. The school has 28 students on campus in 2016. Some students after graduation have been sent to normal school to continue their study.
